And when I move too far away from it I'm not satisfied either. Probably drawings (and paintings too) just require ... not only some kind of balance between the two, but the very quest for that right way. No struggle, no art. <BR/>Thanks a lot Sheila for what you said about the Elliott Sharp drawing. I did a lot of sketches that night, and none of them correspond to what I hoped to capture, because the musicians always moved and often changed, and the pieces they performed didn't last as long as ... for example, landscapes remain unchanged ;) , but anyway, 'working under difficult conditions' often brings us one step ahead - by admitting unusual energies to play an important role in the work.Wernerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02516107317933560391noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35518009.post-47437193976779745202009-01-07T17:06:00.000+01:002009-01-07T17:06:00.000+01:00But you know Werner I can see abstraction in many...But you know Werner I can see abstraction in many of your drawings already - La Mediatheque; La Ferme Bermond; Ein Baum - and how about the beautiful "Elliott Sharp" - I can hear the music on that one, it fairly dances around the page (and incidentally I am as deaf as a post). So sure, do what you feel you have to do, don't let anyone or anything get in the way but I bet Werner will still keep coming through!Sheila Vaughanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11202418013915704272noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35518009.post-76084823964731531422009-01-05T03:35:00.000+01:002009-01-05T03:35:00.000+01:00Sure you can!
