Wood Shavings

Vielleicht artverwand mit der Serie "Kleine Bäume", aber nicht Teil davon. Das wäre mir dann doch zu zynisch. Beim letzten Unwetter war an der Stelle, wo ich sonst kleine Bäume suche, ein grosser Baum entwurzelt und hinterher von Waldarbeitern zersägt worden. Da lagen dann eine ganze Menge Späne. Hier sieht man natürlich nur deren Schatten.


A l'endroit où je cherche de petits arbres normalement, la dernière tempête en a fait tomber un très grand, et des forestiers l'ont aussitôt découpé en morceaux pour l'enlever. Il y avait donc une grande quantité de copeaux de bois, dont on ne voit ici que l'ombre, évidemment.

The last storm had uprooted a big tree at the same place where I usually draw my small ones, and woodsmen sawed it into pieces to carry them away, so there were plenty of wood shaving lying around. My drawing only shows their shadow, of course.
