Pic de Courmettes
”Pic de Courmettes” is the name of the mountain in the background, seen from a picnic area at the route des Macarons (43°38’ N, 7°03’08” E for those who want to know it...)
Le Pic de Courmettes, vue depuis la zone de stationnement près de "la Veirière" (D604).
”Pic de Courmettes” heisst der Berg im Hintergrung - von einem Rastplatz im Naturpark Parc Departemental de la Brague aus gesehen.

Free drawing #6
This drawing shows the small, but very nice photograph which Chuck Law has taken of the drawing I've made of the photo taken by Elaine Bond of my drawing "Tree Tops". I've used a small frame made of some sort of ocher sandstone, which almost matches the color of one of the shells Chuck has used for the composition of his picture, and placed it in my bookshelf.
Voici donc le dessin de la photo prise par Chuck Law du dessin que j'ai fait en janvier de la photo prise par Elaine Bond de mon dessin "Tree Tops". J'ai choisi un petit cadre en grès ocre qui a presque la même couleur qu'un des coquillages que Chuck a utilisés dans la composition de sa photo...
Diese Zeichnung zeigt das Foto, das Chuck Law von der Zeichnung gemacht hat, die ich im Januar von Elaine Bonds Foto meiner Zeichnung "Tree Tops" (Baumwipfel) angefertigt habe... Chuck's Foto habe ich in einen kleinen Rahmen aus Sandstein eingefügt, der fast dieselbe Farbe hat wie eine der Muscheln, die Chuck in seinem Foto verwendet hat.

Vallauris (detail #1)
During the last few days I've been working on a larger drawing in Vallauris, and it will take me a few more sessions to finish it. I just thought I'd post a little detail so that noone thinks I'm not doing anything... This detail takes about 12 x 12 cm (5 x 5 in.) of a sheet that measures 65 x 50 cm (25 x 19 in.).
Ces derniers jours j'ai travaillé á Vallauris, où j'ai commencé un dessin un peu plus large que d'habitude, et il me faudra encore quelques jours pour le terminer. Ici il s'agit d'une partie qui mesure 12 x 12 cm dans une feuille de 65 x 50 cm.
Seit ein paar Tagen arbeite ich in Vallauris an einem grösseren Blatt (65 x 50 cm), und es wird noch ein paar Tage dauern, bis es fertig ist. Hier ist schon mal ein kleiner Ausschnitt, ca. 12 x 12 cm.

Free drawing #5
Today I received a photography of my first free drawing ("Tree tops" from the 5th October 2006 - thanks a lot, Elaine!). Besides the drawing, which is a bit out of focus, it has some real trees in the lower part of the image, and it's black and white. As planned, I printed it, framed it, hung it on the wall, and made another drawing. Hence this is the fifth in my series of free drawings - free for the first one who is interested, under the same conditions - as described under "About me"!
Aujourd'hui j'ai reçu la photo de mon premier dessin gratuit ("Tree tops" du 05/10/06). Comme prévu, je l'ai imprimé, cadré et accroché au mur, et j'en ai fait un autre dessin, qui devient alors mon cinquième dessin gratuit: Si vous êtes intéressés, je vous l'envoie gratuitement - je vous demanderais seulement de m'envoyer une photo dans laquelle on le voit chez vous. Je vais imprimer cette photo pour en faire un nouveau dessin gratuit, etc.
Heute habe ich zum ersten Mal ein Foto einer meiner Gratis-Zeichnungen zurückbekommen. Wie unter "About me" angekündigt, habe ich dieses Foto bei mir aufgehängt, um eine neue Zeichnung zu machen. Dies ist damit die fünfte Gratis-Zeichnung: Wer als erster sein Interesse daran ausdrückt, bekommt die Zeichnung - und verpflichtet sich lediglich, mir anschliessend ein Foto von ihr zu senden, das ich dann aufhängen werde, um eine neue Gratis-Zeichnung zu machen...
