I made this drawing on the 19th January, but as always, the post-production took some time ... below is a two-minute-extract of the recording (the entire recording is 39 minutes).You probably don't see it from the drawing, but it started to rain after a few minutes, and I did most of the drawing holding my umbrella ... it was a very silent rain though, you don't really hear it on the recording.

Dies ist also meine Hörzeichnung Nr. 7 vom 19. Januar. Wenige Minuten nachdem ich angefangen hatte zu zeichnen, fing es an zu regnen - aber es war ein sehr stiller Regen, auf der Aufnahme hört man ihn kaum.

this audible drawing is magical - hearing the scratches and scrapes across the paper, sometimes it seems an almost violent ripping of the image from the plain paper..but perhaps i am imagining too much...

Indeed, drawing is not as different from sclupting as one may think, and sometimes my way of working comes close to drypoint etching.
That was probably at the origin of the idea to make audible drawings.
