Ich sage, am Ende scheiden Wir dahin, und mit uns alles was wir erschaffen - während Mudder Natur auch ohne uns ihre Schattenspielchen weiter treiben wird!
Was also ist vergänglich?
Macht nur weiter eure Politik, eure Geschäfte, eure Intrigen - ich vergeude lieber meine Zeit so lange ich's noch kann, und zeichne unscheinbare Dinge!
Vous dites peut-être: Bien sûr, l'homage à la beauté de la nature, l'immortalisation de l'éphémère, qu'est-ce qu'il veut encore?
Mais non!
A la fin c'est nous qui allons partir, et avec nous tout ce que nous avons fabriqué - la nature, elle, continuera à jouer avec les ombres, encore longtemps après notre départ!

Allez, faites ce que vous avez à faire, votre politique, votre business, vos intrigues - quant à moi, je préfère traîner tant que je peux, et dessiner des choses insignifiantes!

Inconsiderable, perhaps, but beautiful! These shadow drawings are so Asian in feel - like Chinese landscapes or Japanese rice paper screens.
Oh, that reminds me of a Chinese ink or watercolour landscape someone gave me when I was a ten or so... I have to find that again...
